Terms of Service
Our Cable TV service is provided as a utility to Heritage Commons Housing. Please enjoy the service and avoid any of the difficulties explained below.
Use Proper Cables
Please note
that the Cable TV system re-uses radio frequencies. If you do
not use the proper cables and parts to connect your television
receivers, you may cause interference with fire/police/ambulance
services, airplanes, and more. DO NOT USE bare wire, lamp cord,
or anything else other that regular RF shielded coaxial cable
to connect your television.
No Cable Between Rooms
You may have as many television receivers (includes
VCR's and computers) connected to a Cable TV outlet as you wish.
However, no outlet's signal may extend past the boundaries of
the room where the outlet is located. This means you may not run
cables between rooms, or out of the doors or windows, etc. No
filters or traps should be added to your Cable TV outlet or connection.
Any such extended wiring or filters will be treated as a case
of theft of service.
Right to Disconnect
Telecommunications
UTV reserves the right to disconnect any Cable TV user whose wiring
causes interference or leakage in the system or who otherwise
violates the terms of service.
